Marriage

Marriage is not just a union between a man and a woman. Marriage is nor just a legal bonding between two people in love to have a "married" status in public. Marriage isn't as simple as what one might think.

Marriage, is the interaction and union of two different families and the level of interaction can vary from culture to culture and depends on the setting but there are commonalities found in many aspects.  In summary, marriage is more than just 2 people and the others in the family have a great influence on the people getting married.

I've been married for about 15 years with 2 kids and I have my parents who live with me. There is a lot I learnt and a truth that in-laws never get along with each other. I am learning that this is not just in my case but I believe its more like law of the nature.

Joint families have chances of experiencing more issues than the others. The bride and groom are raised in different setups and have different practices, habits, etc. When they get together, they are able to learn each other's differences and ultimately they don't matter. However, family members are different and its hard for them to adjust which give rise to problems. Family politics, jealousy, biases, etc. might play a role in different ways between family members.
